Eve

Hi I’m Eve. I’m 16 years old and I live on the south coast.

You’ll often find me at the beach especially on a clear night when there’s lots of stars in the sky or at sunrise and sunset, which is when I think it’s the most beautiful. I really appreciate their beauty because I lost my vision for some time when I was 10 years old, I got very poorly and was diagnosed with a brain tumour. I had surgery and proton therapy, and my tumour has stabilised and my vision has returned!

I also really love anything Disney and in my spare time I love to dance. My wish was absolutely perfect for me as I got to perform in front of the castle at Disneyland Paris. It was magical. I felt like a true Disney princess and my dreams actually came true!! 

My wish took place on World Wish weekend which meant that I got to share my magical moment with many other wish children. Seeing the joy on so many faces made me realise how impactful make a wish is as a charity and the opportunity now that I am a starboard member is so exciting as I get to share my ideas and thoughts to help shape other wishes with a bit of extra magic and sparkle. It’s not often your voice as a child is heard, which is what makes this even more exciting to be a part of! I can’t wait to make a difference!
