Jack

My name is Jack, I'm twelve years old and live in Southampton. I was diagnosed with lymphoma aged ten and, following successful treatment, Make-A-Wish approached me and offered a once in a lifetime opportunity - my wish! 

My wish was to meet Tom Holland as I'd watched his movies throughout treatment. It was such a unique and incredible experience that I'll treasure for the rest of my life and I'd love to help other children receive an amazing experience that they will treasure too. 

Make-A-Wish gave me such an extraordinary day and it’s vital for children to have something so special to look forward to during such a hard time in their lives. 

The skills I think I'll bring to Starboard are empathy, kindness and resilience. I think these skills will help me achieve my goal of getting other children a wish they’ll never forget.
