Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. It's what we do. And we couldn't do it without the support of our incredible volunteers.
We were started by volunteers in 1986 – and volunteers are still at the heart of what we do today. By volunteering with us, you'll become a vital part of the biggest wishgranting organisation in the world. And you'll be making a real difference to the lives of desperately ill children – and their families – across the UK. You'll also be doing something you enjoy, developing your skills and meeting new people!
You can search for volunteering opportunities in your area below.
If you can't find anything that fits your skills and interests, please contact us and we can have a chat to see whether there are any other options.
If you have any questions, we're here to help. Give us a call on 0118 304 2777, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be requested where required
Every year, during The National Volunteers' Week (first week of June), we choose three ambassadors from among our team of volunteers. These are people who are recognised for their involvement in different areas of our work, representing our values and behaviours and promoting Make-A-Wish within their community.
