Our volunteers are crucial in helping us change lives. The roles are varied, from Wish Visiting or fundraising, to cheering or researching. Here, you can meet some of our amazing volunteers who are changing the lives of desperately ill children through wishes.

Our community of volunteers is nearly 1,000 strong, comprising of people of all ages, from various backgrounds and from all over the UK. Some have been with us for a month, while others have volunteered faithfully for over 30 years!

For however long you can and would like to commit to volunteering, we'd love to hear from you.

Our Volunteer Ambassadors

Every year, during The National Volunteers' Week (first week of June), we choose three ambassadors from among our team of volunteers. These are people who are recognised for their involvement in different areas of our work, representing our values and behaviours and promoting Make-A-Wish within their community.
