Make-A-Wish volunteer, Sally
Sally from Wokingham
Challenge Events Volunteer, helps our team in the Hub in Reading.

I started volunteering for Make-A-Wish on 1st November 2018 after leaving a smaller charity where I worked part-time.  I wanted to be more flexible with my time and the Make-A-Wish position in the Challenge Events team seemed just right.

I really enjoy volunteering for Make-A-Wish.  Each week, my managers have given thought to my time and I am supported and appreciated throughout the day and feel part of the team very much. The variety of tasks I am given include making telephone calls to fundraisers, updating the supporter database and Excel spreadsheets, responding to emails and attending events when I can. I feel, that the time I give, makes a small contribution to the team’s fundraising efforts and in turn granting a child their one true wish.
