More than 60,000* children in the UK have been diagnosed with a critical condition, changing their lives and the lives of their families forever. For them, the joy of childhood is brought to an abrupt end, with treatment plans, hospital visits and sleepless nights taking over.
The power of a wish revives a childhood stolen by critical illness. It brings light and joy to children and their loved ones and leaves a profound and lasting impact on all their lives.
But we can’t be that light for everyone. It takes an army of volunteers, fundraisers, community support and donations to help these children feel like children again.
So, we’re asking for your help...
Sell your stars to light up the darkness
Could you put your imagination and artistic flair to good use by creating some stars to sell this Christmas? How about getting together with friends, family, colleagues or club mates for a star-making party, with music and mince pies?
However you'd like to do it, we'd like you to design and make some stars to sell this festive season to raise money for wishes.

Sell star decorations
Ask friends, family, colleagues or students to write their wish on a star for a £1 donation. Hang their wish on a tree, or fill a classroom display with festive wishes!

We’ve put together some festive fundraising ideas, so you can stay safe, stay connected with friends, colleagues and family, and help raise money for wishes at the same time.
Bake your own star creations!
Whether your biscuits are star shaped, or you have star sprinkles, let your imagination run wild! Hold a bake-sale and sell your creations to raise funds for wishes!

Craft your own stars
Are you an avid crocheter, calligrapher or card-maker? Go with the star theme and donate your proceeds to be part of the army bringing light to the darkness.
Take on a physical challenge
Let us know about the challenge you’re planning and we can send you a technical top with stars on the back, which you auction off in return for sponsorship.
Top Tip – if people don’t know where to donate, they won’t! Get in touch if you can’t find your fundraising page, or if you need a collection box for cash.
