Right now over 134,000* children in the UK are eligible for a wish because they are dealing with the grueling daily reality of life with a critical illness.
* Research For Impact (RFI), a Singapore-based think tank was commissioned by Make-A-Wish International to conduct a comprehensive sift through the Global Burden of Disease Database (GBD) for the conditions listed per our medical eligibility criteria. The International Medical Advisory Committee (IMAC) was also consulted to review and provide feedback on disease category/ condition inclusion and severity.
