We are granting more wishes than ever before, but the need is outpacing our capacity. Today, around 8,000 children are diagnosed with a critical illness every year in the UK. That means thousands of families are still waiting for the life-changing power of a wish.

The Make-A-Wish UK Health Fund exists to grant transformative wishes with greater agility and sustainability, bringing light in the darkest moments for thousands more children — offering choice, joy, hope, connection and strength when it matters most.

The Fund is structured around five key medical pillars, each one representing children whose lives are changed due to critical illness: Urgent & Palliative Care, Childhood Cancers, Rare & Genetic Diseases, Neurological Conditions, Heart, Lung & Kidney Conditions.

A wish is more than a fleeting moment—it’s a source of strength. It’s the reason a child keeps fighting. It’s a memory their family will hold onto forever.
