Seven-year-old Alice was just 18 months old when she was diagnosed with cancer, within months a tumour was discovered in her abdomen. Her mum Jen told us: “Her tumour was the size of three satsumas!”
Treatment for the cancer was intense, with Alice spending much of her childhood in and out of hospital undergoing chemotherapy. Even to this day, Alice still has to take a cocktail of daily medicines and treatments.
But her wish to go to Lapland gave the family time which they had missed out on during Alice’s hospital appointments, offering them all a wintry escape:
“To see Alice smile after everything we’ve gone through was priceless. Thank you so much for supporting Make-A-Wish!”
