Bidding begins on money-can't-buy prizes ahead of the annual Make-A-Wish Ball

A range of extraordinary experiences, gifts and one-of-a-kind items are now open for bidding ahead of this year’s Make-A-Wish UK Ball, which takes place November 26th 2022.

One such item is an exquisite Doll's House from luxury furnishings company Christopher Guy. This extraordinary one-off work of miniature art features over 150 pieces of individually hand-crafted furnishings, wallcoverings and accessories, taking four craftsmen around 10 weeks to complete the masterpiece.

Julia Burdet, project creator and designer at Christopher Guy, said: “Working on the Doll's House was a privilege and an emotional experience for us all, and that it will now help support the work of Make-A-Wish UK is the perfect end to its journey. The Doll's House has been a real eye-opener to just how much skill it takes to produce high quality interiors furnishings and accessories. It has also been a fabulous adventure into the child that’s in all of us. The magical charm of the Doll's House has enchanted all those who've seen it and I hope will continue to delight in its new home and bring light and joy to those children whose dreams are brought to life by Make-A-Wish UK.”

Other lots now open for bidding include a black Chanel handbag, afternoon tea with David Walliams OBE, and much more. Bidding is open to all members of the public.

Jason Suckley, Chief Executive of Make-A-Wish UK, said: “We’re very grateful to everyone who has helped to donate, source or fund these extraordinary prizes on offer. A wish has the power to revive a childhood, bringing light and joy to these children and their families when they need it most, creating memories that last a lifetime - so we’ve all got our fingers crossed for some good bids!”
