Join our community in the East Midlands

Hannah and her family meeting actress, Helen Worth on the Coronation Street set.

Hannah's wish to meet the cast of Coronation Street drew a line under months of aggressive treatment for a rare soft tissue cancer. After being diagnosed when she was 11, Hannah found out she'd relapsed on the day the episode in which her family appeared as 'extras' was broadcast. She died at home in Sleaford near Lincoln in September 2014. But Hannah's wish also inspired her father, Simon, to continue volunteering and fundraising for Make-A-Wish UK to this day. He says it gives him "a reason to stay positive".

Hannah's wish has been granted, but there are many more children in the East Midlands who are still waiting for their wish. So we're asking for your help.

When a child is diagnosed with a critical condition, it changes their life and the lives of their families forever. For them, the joy of childhood is brought to an abrupt end. You can help to revive that childhood. Your support can bring light and joy to children and their loved ones, leaving a profound and lasting impact on all their lives.
