Building a brand partnership with one of the most trusted charities in the UK could have major benefits – opening up new audiences, creating engaging content and increasing profile.
Disney, eBay and Make-A-Wish UK came together to celebrate the release of Ralph Breaks the Internet, with YouTube influencer DanTDM and created an award winning campaign.
DanTDM is a long-term supporter of Make-A-Wish, and when he was cast in “Ralph Breaks the Internet” as eBoy, Make-A-Wish, eBay and Disney collaborated on a successful multi-channel fundraising campaign.
This campaign included product promotions and wish inspired content with calls to action for the public.
eBay reported that 10% of all orders placed for campaign merchandise came via new customers, setting up new eBay accounts. Making this one of their highest performing campaigns of the year.
These benefits are expected to have longevity as research has already shown that users who register on the site via a charity have longer and higher average customer lifetime value for the retailer.
This campaign raised £50,000.
