Do you believe in Christmas magic?

Do you believe that wishes come true?

Make-A-Wish is the UK’s largest wish granting charity, typically granting around 1,000 wishes each year. But as you know, due to COVID-19, this year has been especially tough for the charity. And as a result, hundreds of #WishesAreWaiting. We need your help to make these wishes a reality.

In 2017, George was diagnosed with Batten disease, a degenerative genetic condition that meant his life would be cruelly cut short. His family wanted to make the most of every day that they had left with him.

At Make-A-Wish we try to make the impossible a reality. And we granted George’s wish to go tobogganing down the side of a mountain in Austria. He spoke for the first time in 18 months during that thrilling moment!

Just over a year after his wish was granted, George sadly passed away. But his wish meant that George’s family could have an experience which was truly like no other - and make memories to cherish forever.

We tell the stories of children, like George, whose wishes we grant. Their stories can be about struggle, hard times, courage and overcoming what seem to be insurmountable obstacles and loss. We want to give these children the opportunity to write a new chapter and create incredible memories; stories about pirates and princesses, about meeting their heroes, about seeing a new corner of the world and having amazing adventures.

You can help these children write a new chapter. Donate now to help grant wishes.
