Canterbury Travel helps Make-A-Wish UK grant life-changing wishes

Canterbury Travel has been supporting Make-A-Wish UK since 2016, helping us grant magical Lapland wishes.

To date, Canterbury Travel have helped us grant over 300 Lapland wishes for children with a critical condition living in the UK. In 2024 alone, Canterbury Travel made a Gift in Kind contribution of over £100,000. We could not grant Lapland wishes without the generosity shown by Canterbury Travel.

In 2023, Canterbury Travel helped us grant 91 Lapland wishes, which is the most Lapland wishes we have ever granted in a single year. Children like 7-year-old Alice from Southampton got to experience thrilling rides with huskies, sledging in the snow and even got to meet the main man himself, Father Christmas.

“The wish meant we could have family time together during Christmas where we didn’t have to think about doctors’ appointments. We don’t often get to do the things that other families do, so it was so nice to know that we’d be able to go to Lapland as a family! To see Alice smile after everything we’ve gone through was priceless,”

"At Canterbury Travel, creating magical family experiences is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to support Make-A-Wish UK – in their mission to bring joy, hope and magic to children living with critical conditions. We are honoured to help turn the dream of visiting Lapland into a reality for these incredible children and their families."
