Wish Referral Officer

Salary: £27,792

Location & Contract: This is a full-time, permanent role. The role is hybrid working, with travel required to our Reading hub at least once per week.

The role: The Wish Referral Officer is responsible for completing administrative duties, including processing new referrals and responding to Wishgranting-related enquiries, whilst providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders. A Wish Referral Officer is responsible for facilitating and managing a large network of relationships including wish child and their family, medical professionals, charities, volunteers and referral partners. As each wish is unique, accurate record keeping, data privacy and safeguarding are essential for every wish,

Wishgranter (FTC)

Salary: £32,711

Location & Contract: This is a full-time, 12 month FTC role. The role is hybrid working, with travel required to our Reading hub at least twice per week. As well as travel to wish events across the UK, at the organisation’s expense, is required frequently throughout the year, with overnight stays included, where necessary.

The role: A Wishgranter is responsible (collectively and individually) for facilitating and delivering wishes, ensuring that each wish experience is unique to the child/young person, creating magical experiences for them to cherish. A Wishgranter is responsible for facilitating and managing a large network of relationships such as the wish child and their family, volunteers, medical professionals, partners, and suppliers. As each wish is unique, accurate record keeping, data privacy, safeguarding and budget management are essential for every wish.

Stories Officer

Salary: £28,518

Location & Contract: This is a full-time, permanent role. The role is hybrid working, with travel required to our Reading hub at least twice per month.

The role: As the Stories Officer you will lead the development of all story-based content for Make-A-Wish UK, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s overarching strategy, annual objectives, and core content priorities with a particular emphasis on fundraising initiatives. This role is primarily focused on identifying, individually crafting, and refining compelling narratives that effectively convey the charity’s impact, as well as the lived experiences of wish children, their families, volunteers, staff, and other key stakeholders.
