Children like Sebbie need your help
This year we’ll grant over 1,000 wishes. Of those, more than 25 children will turn to us to help them unlock their imagination and transform them into whatever or whoever they wish to be.
Four-year-old Sebbie has been fighting a very rare condition called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) since he was 2.
The cancer-like condition means he's had to endure intense rounds of treatment over the past 2 years. Doctors treated Sebbie with the lowest dose of chemotherapy at first, along with steroids. Now, every 3 weeks, he's undergoing a more intensive chemotherapy. Sebbie will be almost 6 when treatments are due to end. He is getting more poorly with a lot more stays in hospital now as it takes its toll on his little body.
Sebbie, better known as Captain Barnacle, has an extremely active imagination. When at home, he loves watching his favourite programme, Swashbuckle - a show all about pirates! He loves dressing up like a pirate and has even made his own ship - complete with the anchor and sails. He loves pirates so much that when he turned to us, he wished to be a pirate at his very own pirate party - on a real ship!
Sebbie's imagination inspired his One True Wish, and we need your help to grant wishes to children like Sebbie - who wish to be turned into their imaginations creations - giving them the chance to be whatever or whoever they want!
To ensure no child is kept waiting unnecessarily for their wish, the funds you donate may not be spent directly on this specific wish. But rest assured, your money will be spent on wishgranting costs to help us grant a wish to one of the hundreds of children who will turn to us this year.
