Summary
Make-A-Wish UK grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. A wish gives a desperately ill child and their family time away from the daily struggles of living with a serious condition. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish has turned the wishes of more than 14,000 seriously ill children into realities – creating memories to treasure forever, whatever the future may hold.
Many of our children’s wishes are related to computer games – from wishing to have gaming equipment to meeting their favourite streamer or even being a developer for a day. Gaming can be hugely empowering for an ill child – giving them time and space to be themselves, without the confines of their condition. We already have some great relationships with gamer communities and we’re looking to extend that network to help us raise funds and enhance wishes.
