Text Wish to 70111 to donate £3 a month
Time commitment: One-off
Skills required: enthusiasm, positive attitude, ability to engage with general public
Why we need you
We wouldn’t be able to grant wishes without people like you. You help us to research fundraising opportunities and help at special events which help to cover the costs of the wishes. You visit children and capture their One True Wish. You collect vital funds at bucket collections and cheer on our #wishheroes who raise money for wishes. Every role is important, and every role makes a difference to desperately ill children.
Make-A-Wish UK creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
A wish gives a desperately ill child and their family time away from the daily struggles of living with a serious condition. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish has turned the wishes of more than 13,000 seriously ill children into magical realities – creating memories to treasure forever, whatever their future may hold.
We’re looking for open and positive bucket collectors who will help us to raise vital funds at local bucket collections in supermarkets, at sporting events and in the community.
What difference will you make?
Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes throughout the UK and last year more children turned to us than ever before. To ensure that we are able to grant wishes to more and more children we need to raise vital funds. Bucket collections are one of the ways of sourcing the funds and a way to engage general public in fundraising.
By showing positive attitude and being open to people, you’ll help us raise more money and as a result reach more children who deserve a wish.
