Regional Fundraising Manager - Northern Ireland
Please note: The unprecedented effects of coronavirus are impacting everyone and Make-A-Wish is no different. Gail's role has been furloughed so, for now, if you'd like to speak to someone about fundraising in your community, please contact one of the following Regional Fundraising Managers:
I've been working at Make-A-Wish for 10 years as Regional Fundraising Manager in Northern Ireland.
I live on the east coast near Bangor and I'm responsible for fundraising throughout Northern Ireland.
My role at Make-A-Wish
My role within Make-A-Wish is to generate income to help us grant a child’s One True Wish.
In my role my day can be varied, from visiting a school to presenting our case for support to a potential corporate partner, supporting runners in our Belfast marathon, or speaking to individuals who've chosen to fundraise for us.
This variety is what I enjoy about my job but I also take great pride in knowing that throughout my daily work I'm helping to change the lives of children here in Northern Ireland.
I also work alongside other departments within Make-A-Wish to ensure our message is reaching as many people as possible and also support our many volunteers in fundraising and wish visiting.
"I've had a number of jobs throughout my working career from teaching to working in sales, but the last 10 years with Make-A-Wish has without doubt been my most rewarding."
