The Art of Wishes

The Art of Wishes is unique in that it unites the art world to achieve a common goal, to light up the darkness for critically ill children. The Art of Wishes Gala Dinners have astounded guests and the art world alike with unique art auctions featuring works donated by established and emerging contemporary artists. Each artist is asked to create or donate a piece of work inspired by the wishes of the critically ill children Make-A-Wish UK work with.

The fourth Art of Wishes Gala took place on 9^th October 2023 and was one of the first events to be hosted at the spectacular new Raffles Hotel London at The OWO. This historical landmark was the perfect setting for such an incredible evening where some of today’s most recognised artists, gallerists, and celebrity talent gathered. Notable guests included Princess Beatrice, actor Luke Evans and artist Marina Abramovic.

The event raised an incredible £2.6m for Make-A-Wish UK, enough to fund over 1,000 wishes.

The Art of Wishes was founded by Make-A-Wish UK Patron, Batia Ofer, in 2017. This unique initiative brings together the world of art and wishes to raise life-changing funds for Make-A-Wish UK. Alongside the Committee, Batia has now hosted a range of events, collectively raising nearly £12 million to grant wishes that change the lives of children living with critical illnesses.
