We spoke to medal-winning paralympians at our Sports Dinner.

They gave some inspirational advice to live your life by and help others who feel that their condition might hold them back in achieving their dreams.

1. John, Florrie's dad

"It’s wonderful when we can come all together and forget about Florence being poorly and just spending time together, truly wonderful"

FLORRIE her mum and dad laughing

Four year old Florrie is fighting a rare form of cancer. She loves anything to do with princesses so wished to be transformed into a princess for the day! The wish gave Florrie and her family the chance to have precious time together away from the realities of her condition.

1. Zoe, Leighton's mum

"To let him do what he wanted was absolutely amazing"

Zoe was devastated when she found out her son had a rare type of blood cancer when he was just a few months old. His condition has meant that he's been in and out of hospital. For Zoe, it was so special being able to watch him have some independence and lots of fun on his Disneyland wish!
