Joshua Lindley, 14, from West Yorkshire, joins STARboard with hopes of becoming an inspirational ambassador for Make-A-Wish and to help give other wish children the best possible experience. Joshua has been battling a movement disorder and a bleeding disorder his whole life. In December 2019 his wish to meet Santa Claus and fly on an aeroplane was granted. Together with his family, Joshua flew to Disneyland Paris where he spent time with the Disney characters and Santa Claus himself – he was even featured in an article in local Parisian newspaper, Le Parisien.
Joshua likes to work in a team and brings skills, such as patience and being a good listener, to group activities. He is especially proud of his bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award that he achieved, together with his team, by completing activities including map reading and climbing Mam Tor.
