We're often asked for help and information about funding, medical equipment and other support charities and sometimes we also require our wish families to obtain official documents to assist us in granting their wish.

Here is a list of useful links which will hopefully help with these requests and requirements:-

 

     The Willow Foundation - National charity which provides special days for seriously ill 16-40 year olds.

 

     The HoneyRose Foundation - A registered charity dedicated to raising money and organising special days for terminally ill people 40 years and above.

 

     Winston’s Wish - The leading childhood bereavement charity and the largest provider of services to bereaved children, young people and their families in the UK.

 

     Electronic System for Travel Authorisation - Website where an online form can be found and completed by international travellers seeking to visit the USA under the Visa Waiver programme.

 

                       European Health Insurance card - If you are a UK resident temporarily visiting a European Union (EU) country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, and medical treatment becomes necessary, with one of these cards you are entitled to that treatment at reduced cost or sometimes free.

 

        Passport applications - Government site to help with applying for a passport for adults and children.

 

     Peter's Place - New charity supporting young cancer sufferers between 16-30 and their families.

 

          Give Kids The World - Give Kids The World Village is a 70 acre nonprofit 'storybook' resort in Florida, where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families are treated to fantasy holidays.

 

    Counselling Directory - Free confidential service which provides a counselling support network, enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them and appropriate for their needs.
