We're often asked for help and information about funding, medical equipment and other support charities and sometimes we also require our wish families to obtain official documents to assist us in granting their wish.

Here is a list of useful links which will hopefully help with these requests and requirements:-

 

     The Willow Foundation - National charity which provides special days for seriously ill 16-40 year olds.

 

     The HoneyRose Foundation - A registered charity dedicated to raising money and organising special days for terminally ill people 40 years and above.

 

     Winston’s Wish - The leading childhood bereavement charity and the largest provider of services to bereaved children, young people and their families in the UK.

 

  After experiencing first-hand the effects of having a child with a life-threatening condition, Patti and Alan Bradshaw wanted to help other children and their families who sadly found themselves in similar situations. Since 2002 the Shannon Bradshaw Trust has been raising money through fundraising events which have helped many sick children and their families throughout the North West.

 

     Electronic System for Travel Authorisation - Website where an online form can be found and completed by international travellers seeking to visit the USA under the Visa Waiver programme.

 

     European Health Insurance card - If you are a UK resident temporarily visiting a European Union (EU) country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, and medical treatment becomes necessary, with one of these cards you are entitled to that treatment at reduced cost or sometimes free.

 

        Passport applications - Government site to help with applying for a passport for adults and children.

 

     Peter's Place - New charity supporting young cancer sufferers between 16-30 and their families.

 

          Give Kids The World - Give Kids The World Village is a 70 acre nonprofit 'storybook' resort in Florida, where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families are treated to fantasy holidays.

 

    Counselling Directory - Free confidential service which provides a counselling support network, enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them and appropriate for their needs.

 

    apave - Professional hard landscaping and cobblestone driveway block paving experts who have helped us with wishes.

 

 RM SpaceKraft - Proud of their association with Make-A-Wish in providing multi sensory rooms and resources as part of the wishgranting programme.

 

 Childhood Eye Cancer Trust - UK charity for families and individuals affected by Retinoblastoma. They offer support, fund research and raise awareness.

 

  Cancer Recovery Foundation - Charity helping people across the country to prevent or live with cancer.

 

 Dresses for Gorgeous Girls - Specialise in beautiful party dresses and dresses for special occasions including christening, wedding and holy communion and bridesmaid dresses. Also fairy and princess dresses, pettiskirts and tutus!

 

  Pure O2 – Suppliers of the latest advancements in oxygen therapy; all their medical devices can be either purchased or rented, and individual patients' needs are all catered for.
