Latest Wishes - Suzanne and Katie – in the pink!

Teenager Suzanne, fighting Spinal Muscular Atrophy, is a huge fan of model Katie Price - also known as Jordan. We flew her to Manchester to meet her idol.

Suzanne (from Newtownards in Northern Ireland) had said: “I only have one wish and that is to meet Katie Price. I love her - she is so down-to-earth and glamorous at the same time. We both love pink, and I love the way she’s both glitzy and gutsy too!”

Before her meeting with Katie, Make-A-Wish arranged for Suzanne to be treated to a manicure where her nails were painted pink just like her idol’s. When they did meet, a crew happened to be filming Katie for a new programme and she explained on camera why she chose to help with Suzanne’s wish despite the huge number of other requests she receives.

The programme they were filming is due to be broadcast on ITV in September.

Suzanne wanted to know all about Katie’s glamorous life - they talked about Katie’s children and how she believes that you can do anything you want to do in life if you put your mind to it. This filled Suzanne and her parents with great strength, given the obstacles they have faced with Suzanne’s condition.

Margaret, Suzanne’s mother, said: “The whole wish day was amazing for Suzanne - we will never forget it. Thank you so much to Make-A-Wish for making this happen. It was almost like Suzanne’s life changed the day we took the phone call to say she’d be meeting Katie Price the following week.“
