What Volunteering Involves

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Make-A-Wish and we greatly value the contribution they make. We are always looking to recruit a wide range of volunteers from a wide cross-section of society. We are also keen to recruit people with language skills. We look for enthusiasm, creativity, energy and a passion to advance the work of the charity.

We currently need volunteers who have experience in or are keen to learn about:

Wishgranting
Fundraising
Event Management
Public Relations
Information Technology
Office Administration
Training & Development

We take pride in our recruitment and training process. From start to finish, we aim to keep you fully informed as to how your application is progressing so that you feel comfortable with us and to ensure that we recruit the very best volunteers to continue and increase our wishgranting and fundraising programmes throughout the UK. Training commences upon completion of a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
