Jubilations and Euro Celebrations.... Fingers crossed!

Monday is here again and it's safe to say the weather has taken a turn for the worse. It's windy and rainy here at Make-A-Wish HQ and we have to admit, we want the sunshine back!

Sorry for our lack of posts last week, with it being a short week we were all quite busy and a lot of people took advantage of the short week and had some well-deserved time off.  Before leaving for the Jubilee weekend, a couple of our wishgranters, Georgie and Debbie, put on a royal breakfast for us all; A lovely treat to get the celebrations started. Anyone have a street party? Or did the weather put you off?

Croissants, strawberries and your eyes don’t fool you; they are chocolate caterpillars with crowns on in the background! Yum!

Also, check out the jubilee themed London guides we have to give all of our children visiting for the Olympics.

We had another fab delivery to add to the little mermaid collection – the outfit! We know the little girl will look absolutely gorgeous in this.

Another highlight was a super letter we received from an Irish wish child who wants to meet Nigel Marven. He is absolutely dinosaur mad and his letter, which is adorned with dinosaur stickers, starts with “Dear Nigel, I love dinosaurs and fossils” he then goes on to say “I’m a friend of all animals. When I see an insect I say... Don’t kill it!”. We do hope that this little boy gets to meet his hero!

It is nearly home time and time for England to kick off in their first Euro 2012 match against France. We can bet lots of our football supporting wish children will be getting ready to enjoy the match - Let’s hope the right team wins!

Come on England!
