A Right Royal Week

Half way through the week and do we have a treat for you! Another special guest popped into the office for one of our Wishgranter’s birthdays last Friday. He is very superstitious, he loves a hat and makes a lot of our wish children very happy. Can you guess who it is?

You are not seeing things, that is Olly Murs peeking through our office door - and that’s not all he got up to. After making Lauren very happy, he bumped into Sally on the stairs, made Andy jump and then flirted with a couple of girls from PR and Fundraising. He certainly got about that day!

We love you, Olly!!

Anyway, back to business… We’re sure you are all looking forward to the four day weekend this week to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee; we certainly are. Tying in with that, we had a wish child who went to see Mamma Mia and in her feedback she said “The Queen of England couldn’t have been treated better than me”. It’s very nice to get a compliment like that from a very happy wish child, which is exactly what we want :-)!

Before we sign off today’s post we have to mention a lovely lady who called us and donated two tickets for this weekend’s Coldplay concert. We took bids from members of staff and raised a good amount of money, which will go towards granting more magical wishes.
