June was a record month for wishes granted.

We’re delighted to announce that we have just set a new record for the number of wishes granted in a single month! We granted an amazing 64 wishes in June this year, the highest number of wishes granted in one month since Make-A-Wish was founded in the UK, back in 1986.

This is excellent news as we continue to work towards our aim of granting a magical wish to every one of the approximately 20,000 children living in the UK with a life-threatening illness.

It was a fantastic landmark month in more ways than one as among those 64 wishes was our milestone 6,000th wish, which took place when we helped 12 year old Luke to star as a superhero in his own film (see picture). You can read more about Luke’s wish by following this link:

We are constantly aware that, as we receive no government or lottery funding, it would not be possible to grant any of these wishes without the generous donations of both money and time from you, the members of the public – so thank you all for helping us to grant so many magical wishes and help so many families.
