Make-A-Wish Valentine’s Ball an entertaining success

Make-A-Wish Chief Executive Neil Jones with Jamie Breese and James & Oliver Phelps

A great night was had by all at the Make-A-Wish Valentine’s Ball on Saturday night at London’s Dorchester, with guests enjoying cocktails and a superb three-course dinner from Executive Chef Henry Brosi.

Attendees included antiques expert Jamie Breese, who acted as auctioneer, actor Nick Hardcastle (compere for the evening), Harry Potter actors James & Oliver Phelps, Big Brother’s Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace and Make-A-Wish Patron Justin Fletcher, aka Cbeebies’ Mr Tumble.

Entertainment  was provided by the cast of the West End show Thriller Live, with performances also from Stella Mann’s Musical Theatre Students and singers The I Dolls

A substantial sum was raised, thanks to the generosity of the evening’s guests, with one of the biggest fundraisers being a prize of tea at The Ritz with another Make-A-Wish Patron, Jude Law, which attracted a fantastic bid of £20,000.

Many thanks from us all to those who attended – guests, entertainers and especially our hard-working volunteers and the Valentine’s Ball committee, who put together their usual smooth-running fundraising event.
