Leaving a Legacy

We would be extremely grateful if you could include a legacy to Make-A-Wish Foundation UK in your Will. Around 1,000 children will turn to us in 2010 to have their special wish granted. We believe that a wish can transform a child’s life, so we want to be able to carry on granting magical wishes in the years to come. That’s why any legacy to Make-A-Wish mentioned in your Will would make a real contribution to the future, without you experiencing a financial loss during your lifetime.

Legacies are extremely important to us as they help us with our plans for the future, and so any help you can give us in this way is invaluable. Even better, any legacy you leave to Make-A-Wish is exempt from Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax.

It is not only easy to make a Will, but important too. If you do not have one then you may not be protecting those closest to you in the way you would wish; a Will clarifies your intentions and can dismiss any misconceptions. Giving in Memory

A donation made in memory of a loved one is a very special way of remembering them and a valuable way to celebrate and honour their life. At the same time it will help Make-A-Wish to make a positive difference to the lives of the hundreds of children who ask us to grant magical wishes. If you are interested in setting up a tribute fund online where you can make regular donations in memory, leave messages and photographs of your loved one, please get in touch with us.

Donations can also be made online, via telephone or by post. Please remember to let us know:-

            Your name and address
            The name of the deceased
            The name and address of the next of kin

We will always write personally to thank you for your donation. Providing us with the next of kin's details allows us to let them know of your donation. Please be assured that we never disclose how much you have donated.
