Charity of the Year Partners

Dairy Crest

Dairy Crest is the UK's premier chilled dairy food company. Its employees have a long and impressive record when it comes to charity fundraising and they look forward to maintaining their high standards in partnership with Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK. Our milkmen run marathons, our finance managers parachute, our technical wizards organise golf days, our tanker drivers ride bikes, our cashiers make cakes. The pennies become pounds and the magical wishes are granted.

Comet

The staff of Comet Group plc, the second largest electrical retailer in the UK, have chosen Make-A-Wish as their charity partner for 2007 and 2008 with a target to raise over £250,000. The money will be raised by staff taking part in events like the London Marathon, bike rides, celebrity golf days, sweepstakes, raffles, collections and the sale of Make-A-Wish pin badges.

Some children wish to have an electrical item from a Comet store, like a laptop, TV or games console and we will be making sure that these wishes are extra special.

Brammer UK will raise funds for and provide support to Make-A-Wish throughout the year and hopes to enable the charity to grant at least twelve magical wishes.

Brammer UK is a division of Europe's leading distributor of Industrial Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) products.

Charles Russell

Charles Russell, a top 50 full service City legal practice, has chosen Make-A-Wish to be its first-ever Charity of the Year with wholehearted support from the entire practice. Charles Russell is planning various events during the year to raise money, including a donation instead of sending Christmas cards and a large cycle ride.

Charles Russell launched their partnership with Make-A-Wish by sponsoring the wish of Benjamin who wished for an American-style jukebox.

Whitney UK is the UK's most respected provider of investment and property educational programmes and started supporting Make-A-Wish in 2007. Since then, over £200,000 has been raised by Whitney UK personnel participating in Great North Runs and Flora London Marathons as well as via support from students, mentors and trainers alike at the 2007 and 2008 Annual Gala Dinner and Conference - all in the name of wishgranting. Whitney UK believes that, by helping students find possible solutions to financial freedom, they too are hopefully making a difference to people's lives.
