Go Gold

Add some sparkle to your fundraising and Go Gold in May!
Go Gold is a new addition to the fundraising calendar and we are asking you to persuade your friends, schools, workplaces, and social clubs to hold gold themed events or to wear gold (yellow/orange) on any day in May.
The campaign is being backed by well-known actor and new make-A-Wish Ambassador Warwick Davis (Willow, Star Wars, Harry Potter), who says: “Make-A-Wish is a brilliant charity and I’m really excited to be involved with the Go Gold campaign. Getting sponsored to wear gold or organising a gold-themed event during May is a really simple way of supporting Make-A-Wish and something that the whole family can get involved with. I hope that everyone will join me in helping this fantastic charity.”
Sarah Shearman, Make-A-Wish Community Fundraising Manager, says: “By taking part in Go Gold you can help Make-A-Wish bring magic, hope, smiles and memories to some very special children. We hope to be granting 1,000 magical wishes this year so every gold pound coin really does help!"
Whether you cover yourself head to toe in gold accessories or simply purchase a Make-A-Wish pin badge, help us to grant magical wishes by going gold!

Wearing gold isn’t really your thing? Hold sport-themed events and compete for Gold medals or trophies, or perhaps hold a gold themed treasure hunt in your local area.
