After a ten year absence, the Greater Manchester Marathon in Trafford brings the ultimate running challenge back to Manchester. On 29 April 2012, thousands of runners will take to the streets to achieve their personal dream. The marathon course will take in some key landmarks and beautiful countryside around the borough of Trafford.
The course is one of the flattest in the world, so is great for anyone looking to do their first marathon, or for those looking to set a new personal best time.
How to take part
You can gain your own place directly from the race organisers. Once you have your own place please complete our online form to join our team. For runners with their own place we don't set a minimum sponsorship pledge.
Once you have registered we will then send out a fundraising pack to you.
Our events staff will be supporting you all the way with:
- Free running shirt
- A full training and nutritional programme
- Support emails and running tips
- Personalised sponsorship forms
