Attend a Make-A-Wish event
Each year Make-A-Wish holds a number of key fundraising events to help us raise the funds needed to grant more magical wishes.
Tickets are available to purchase by individuals, groups and companies.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for all events and range from covering the cost of one element of the event, for example the drinks reception, through to sponsoring a complete event.
Make-A-Wish Balls
We usually hold three Balls per year. These are our flagship events, attended by many of the celebrities who help us with wishes, and tickets always sell out quickly.
The Valentine’s Ball, held at The Dorchester in London, takes place on Saturday 11 February 2012. Step into the most romantic day of the year with your beloved at our stunning event. Sip on the finest champagne as you arrive at London’s prestigious Dorchester Hotel, be dazzled by top class entertainment, indulged by an exquisite three course dinner and twirled around the dance floor until the early hours. There’s also a Charity Auction, with some fantastic prizes to bid for.
The Summer Ball. Unfortunately, the Summer Ball will not be taking place this year, but please keep an eye on this website for details of future Make-A-Wish events.
The Winter Ball at The Dorchester in London is our traditional year-closing event. Last year’s Ball was attended by actor Bradley Walsh and children’s entertainer Justin Fletcher MBE (both Make-A-Wish Patrons) and TV presenters Kate Garraway and John Stapleton. Entertainment came from the cast of the musical Grease, and phenomenal auction prizes included a trip to meet Jenson Button at next year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix; tickets to the Premiere of new film The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (starring Make-A-Wish Patron Ben Barnes); a golf package to visit the 2011 US Masters; a selection of luxury holidays including trips to Cyprus, Russia and Kenya; and a wide selection of fully authenticated memorabilia from sporting and music legends, such as signed football shirts from Ronaldo and from the 2010 Chelsea team.
We're sure that this year’s Winter Ball, which takes place on Saturday 26 November 2011, will be an even more stunning evening!
