Laurie Davies has joined Make-A-Wish as interim Head of Finance for six months. His background includes several roles as head of finance and he has been involved in corporate turnaround situations. He recently spent 5 years as general manager of a large property company housing individuals and families on behalf of the Home Office and local authorities. An accountant by training he has installed and managed accounting and management software in many organisations.

Laurie lives near Hindhead, Surrey and enjoys many hobbies, mostly from his armchair these days but in younger times as a rugby player and coach. He is interested in the theatre and live music and recently took up motorcycling and enjoys solo trips across Europe. He is married to a school teacher of special needs children and has a daughter working as a journalist and son training to be a barrister.

Laurie is looking forward to keeping the accounts function up to date, producing the annual budgets/forecast and producing the annual accounts in his time at Make-A-Wish.
