A recent wish
Keir visits Legoland
Six year old Keir from Inverness, who lives with Pulmonary Hypertension (a condition involving dangerously high pressure in the blood vessels near the heart) loved his wish to visit Legoland at Windsor in Berkshire.
Once the whole family had made the long trip south, they were transported by limousine to the park, where Keir and his brother Finn had a fantastic time trying out all the rides, watching a pirate show and a 4D movie (don’t ask!) and playing with various Lego people, lasers and balloons. With his wish spending money, Keir bought himself a knight’s outfit – though some of the ‘Lego brick people’ kept stealing his helmet!
At the end of the wish, Mum Angela said: “It's only when you find yourself in this heartbreaking situation that you really appreciate HOW precious these trips are. For the parents it's not just the cost, it's the organisation – to have both these elements covered by someone else removes so much stress and makes everything such a pleasure.”
