"Working for Make-A-Wish is fantastic. It's a very exciting job, each day is different and it can sometimes be very challenging which is why I enjoy it so much. Since working for Make-A-Wish I have been lucky enough to meet some truly inspirational children. It is such an honour to be involved in their special wish day. I will never forget three year old Emily's wish for a pink bedroom. She was a very shy little girl and at the visit she was dressed head to toe in pink. I remember when we walked into the house they had a row of pink hats hanging in the hallway. So it didn't come as much of a surprise to us and her family when she wished for a pink bedroom. We spent many weeks searching for the right furniture, bedding and accessories. We had a few problems with delivery dates and we had a curtain pole disaster but it all came together in the end and we were so thrilled to see little Emily's face light up when she saw the room. She was so excited she was jumping up and down on her new bed. It took a lot of hard work and, even though we had a few last minute panics, it was well worth it in the end to see Emily and her family so happy."
