Lesley has joined Make-A-Wish from a background of working with community groups and volunteers and of working to support local businesses.

She says: "Northern Ireland is a large region to cover, so we would be unable to carry out this crucial work without the help and support of our committed volunteers, who work so hard to help us with fundraising and with the delivery of such a wide variety of wishes. Their passion for Make-A-Wish is wonderful and really helps us to push our work onwards and upwards, right across Northern Ireland"

"I have also been delighted at the generosity of local employers and businesses, which come up with really fun, creative ways of fundraising and organising events so that we can continue granting special wishes. I really hope to work with more and more people to spread the word about Make-A-Wish and the great work the charity carries out, both nationally and within Northern Ireland".
