Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK
Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. Since being established in the UK in 1986, we have granted over 5,700 wishes.
- There are 20,000 children and young people living in the UK with a life-threatening illness.
- In 2010, around 1,000 children will turn to us to have their special wish granted.
- We want to grant a magical wish to every one of these...and more!
- Because we believe a wish can transform a child’s life.
- Make-A-Wish needs to raise £5 million in 2010 to achieve this.

Make-A-Wish is affiliated to Make-A-Wish Foundation® International www.worldwish.org. It is now the largest wishgranting organisation in the world and can be found in more than 30 countries on five continents.

£50 buys the special uniform for a boy who wishes to be a soldier, policeman or fireman for the day
£100 provides a Eurostar ticket to help make a special wish trip to Paris happen
£150 pays for a mini tuxedo for a boy wishing to be James Bond
£200 will fund a magical therapeutic swim in the sea with dolphins for a child who wishes to go to Florida
£350 buys a VIP hospitality ticket for a child who wishes for a fantastic trip to Old Trafford to see Manchester United play
£1,000 will buy accommodation at Disneyland Resort Paris for a wish child’s whole family
