About Us
Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Since being established in the UK in 1986, we have granted over 7,300 wishes.
- There are 20,000 children and young people living in the UK with a life-threatening condition
- This year alone, 1,400 children will turn to us to have their special wish granted. And we want to grant a wish to every one of them
- We know that our wishes transform lives!
- Make-A-Wish needs to raise £6.8m in 2012 to achieve this, and will need the support of more than 650 volunteers
Make-A-Wish is affiliated to Make-A-Wish Foundation® international - www.worldwish.org. It is now the largest wishgranting organisation in the world and helps to serve children in 47 countries on five continents through its 36 affiliate offices.
