Bath Half Marathon places still available

Rebecca, who ran the Bath Half last year to raise money for Make-A-Wish

We still have bonded places available for our first official running event of the year...

One of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK, the the Bath Half Marathon, which takes place on Sunday 7th March, 2010, starts and finishes in the heart of Bath – one of only seven World Heritage Cities in Britain. It covers a two-lap 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic-free course straddling both sides of the picturesque River Avon.

The course itself is fast and flat, making it suitable for all abilities – from beginners whose key objective is to complete the course, to more regular long-distance event runners looking to beat their personal best time. The event is renowned for its wonderful atmosphere, fast flat course and fantastic location - the Daily Telegraph voted it '3rd Best Running Event' in their Top 10 Big Runs.

Some of those who visit for the Bath Half, as it’s known, choose to make a weekend of it. Bath is one of the most beautiful cities in the world; renowned in general for its Georgian architecture, it boasts the stunning Royal Crescent and Circus, the world-famous hot spring Roman Baths and the 15th century Abbey, as well as an amazing mix of restaurants, bars, museums, art galleries, theatres and all the shopping you could wish for.

By running the Bath Half Marathon for Make-A-Wish you will be helping to raise money to grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses.

Our events staff will be supporting you all the way with:

• Free named Race Day running shirts

• A full training and nutritional programme

• Support emails and running tips

• Personalised sponsorship forms
