Sunlight and Moonlight Colourthon, Southend-on-Sea Saturday 3 July 2010

Guaranteeing you an invigorating challenge and taking place in Chalkwell Park, Westcliff, on Saturday 3 July 2010, the object of both these events is to walk a half-marathon distance by completing laps of a pre-set course.

Taking part this year will be Mark Foster, popular Olympic swimmer and star of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, and Rachel Riley, star of Channel 4’s popular TV quiz show, ‘Countdown’.

Sunlight Colourthon

This event takes place between 3.00 and 5.00 pm, and is primarily targeted at the Under 16 age group. Entrance costs only £2.50.

Moonlight Colourthon

The walk starts from at 8.00 pm and walkers are encouraged to dress as brightly as their imagination will allow them to. It’s open to anyone over the age of 16 and entry costs just £15. The entry fee also pays for an exclusive brightly-coloured ‘Colourthon' T-shirt carrying the ‘Moonlight Colourthon' logo and for a medal for you to wear so you can proudly boast that you've completed your walk.
